Budding beauticians are being given the opportunity to train now and pay later at a leading beauty school in Crewe under a new interest free loan scheme.
The International School of Beauty Therapy is now offering finance options across many of its short courses, including massage, nail enhancement, make-up, self-tanning and eyelash treatments. The courses are suitable for both new beauticians and experienced ones who want to upskill or gain a qualification in a new treatment or service.
The aim of the loans is to make training more accessible to all. Company Director, Victoria Sylvester, explains: “We want everyone, whether they’re just starting out in their career, looking to upskill or change profession, to have access to learning and development opportunities. But the reality is that there are many learners who are not eligible for the various pots of funding available from government and other schemes.
“The interest free loans will help to provide these learners with access to a range of beauty courses, which can help them to secure that first job, progress in their career or get a new job if they have been made redundant. In the current uncertain economic climate, accessibility to training is more important than ever.”
Victoria adds: “We hope that these new loans will provide people of all ages with an affordable way to develop their career in beauty therapy, whatever stage they are at.”
There are nearly 20 courses to choose from, ranging in duration from half a day to seven days, and ‘beauty bundles’ are available. The school’s sister company Acacia Training has teamed up with Deko to provide the finance and is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA). Applicants must be at least 18 years old, will have to pay a minimum of 10% deposit and will have up to 36 months to repay the loan.
Established in 1993, the ISOBT offers nationally and internationally recognised qualifications, helping to prepare students for the workplace. This includes the CIDESCO The Ultimate Beauty Qualification, which is regarded worldwide as the best in the industry. The school is the only provider of this qualification in the North West and the only provider in the UK which offers an Advanced Learner Loan for the course.
ISOBT graduates have gone on to work in prestigious spas across the UK and abroad, as well as starting their own successful businesses.
